This is a message to Wam Librarian, the admin, or any users capable of posting on the wamlibrary.com forums.

I'm somehow locked out of my account and my secondary accounts don't receive activation emails.

Could you please tell the admin to contact me at schleimig...@gmail.com or darkmud....@gmail.com, and activate my accounts on wamlibrary.com and give me my passwords, please (for example, by sending them to those email addresses)?

Hello all,

I Find myself in the same situation. When I requested a password reset, I never got one and now I've exceeded the number of passwords emails that can be sent to me.

Kiwimayotte also reports being locked out which makes it seem like a wider problem.

So the problems are:

• Activation emails sometimes or always aren't sent for new users.
• Password reset emails either aren't sent out, or when they are,  you can't log in with the new password.

Wam Librarian wrote on wamlibrary.com a week ago that he's trying to get it fixed, but it still doesn't work for now.

Any newer news? I saw a post about a mail server issue, but it doesn't let me reset my password regardless so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Some good news, but mostly bad news.

I've been trying to get some of my posts posted on wamlibrary.com through asking users that are also on UMD, and sometimes it worked but recently those posts are caught in the moderation queue where they remain. I believe Wam Librarian is absent for maybe a month already and isn't processing the moderation queue.

As for registration/password reset,  I received some emails from wamlibrary's automated system 3 days ago (November 1) informing me of private messages that I received 5 months ago. 

I tried to password reset again today, by putting in my username and received a reset link almost immediately.

I then tried to login with my username and new password and this failed, saying that my password is incorrect. After some 20 minutes, I tried again and it again failed, so then I instead tried to login with my email and the new password and that login succeeded. I am currently logged-in to the site but when I try to login in another browser, it fails.

I'll keep trying to figure stuff out.

Could someone (Slimelover, Wamdude, a lurker) please try to reset your password now, using the strategy I put in my yesterday's post and report on whether it succeeds?

Same as Wamdude for me. There's a few password resets in my inbox from back in August but they all tell me they've expired.

So I confirm that when I attempt to register a new account, I still don't receive the activation email.

When I tried to reset my password again 2 days ago, after more than a month of no attempts, I was not blocked, got to reset again and this time I did actually received the password reset again. I used my username for password reset and my e-mail address for login. It wouldn't work the other way. 

When have you last tried a password reset (without being blocked by the "You have reached limit" message)?

I would offer to share my account with you but I can't seem to login anymore either. I'm logged in on the browser on one computer, and that stays logged in, but I can't login in another browser again currently.

Haven't had a successful one since the mails back in August. I'm starting to wonder if we'll need a new home yet again, to be honest.

I've also been thinking that, but Wam Librarian spent so many days putting this one together. It's the largest repository of wam stories I've seen anywhere. Well-organized, too. It'd be difficult to replace something like that. There's also the fact the Librarian was willing to host and administrate it. Finally, there's not even an upvote on the login-related issues. It's possible that there aren't that many of us with problems.

Admin's absence will be a problem eventually but it's still possible he comes back. I would still wait for a while.

Exciting update - I managed to sign in today using the form at the *bottom* of the "show thread" page. Don't know why it worked but worth a try.
