October MOPS meeting

Hi friends!

We can't wait to see you at our next MOPS meeting one week from today on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 9:30-11:30 am at FUMC Temple.  We'll be hearing from early childhood specialists Betsy Bales (mom of six including me) and Jennifer Hillman (new mom) on preschool:  is it necessary, how to pick a preschool, readiness indicators, etc.  (There will be lots of tips for moms of infants too, don't worry!) 

We'll also do one of our old favorite crafts--glitter gourds!  these were a huge hit 2 years ago. 

Thanks for your patience last month as we had almost twice as many people as expected!  For this reason we are now going to require RSVPs.  We want to make sure we have enough childcare workers and craft supplies for everyone, so each month you'll need to make a reservation for you and your children.  You can do this one of two ways.  Become a member of the Temple MOPS North Facebook group and leave a post on the event wall with your RSVP (names and ages of children) or email me.  This way we can have nametags printed for your children and dropoff should go much more smoothly.
