Aloha Dear Ones,

This Saturday, 7/7/07, two billion people around the world will rally for a solution to the climate crisis. They'll gather at concerts on seven continents and at over 6,000 parties from Maui to Zimbabwe.

Festivities will start at 3:00 PM and we will have wonderful potluck party at the Temple of Peace at 575 Haiku Rd., starting at 5:00 PM.

Throughout the festivities we will screen other informative short films and hear live musicians and speakers.

Featuring:

Diane Patterson - Activist Musician - as well as "others"

Representatives from:

Maui Artists for Peace, GMO Free Maui, Humanity for Hawaii, Maui Normal, Patients with out time

Finally, we'll tune into the 7/7/07 Live Earth concerts with millions of other people around the world.

The Police are playing at the New York show,

Madonna is in London,

Macy Gray is in Brazil,

Joss Stone is in South Africa—and you get them all at our party!

Saturday is just the beginning as we join in with others in our Maui Community and around the world.  That night, we'll discuss how we can all work together on next steps for a clean energy future.  We're holding this event with our friends at http://AlGore.com in order to bring you all the best information and ideas about solutions.

Al Gore sounded a great rally cry with his OpEd in the New York Times:

WE—the human species—have arrived at a moment of decision.

It is unprecedented and even laughable for us to imagine that we 

could actually make a conscious choice as a species but that is 

nevertheless the challenge that is before us.

7/7/07 is about coming together, working on solutions to one of the biggest issues of our time and being a part of history.  We hope you'll join us.

We'll have live music and plenty of time to socialize as well.  Please bring a dish or drink to the gourmet potluck.  We start at 3:00 PM with the potluck at 5.
