Hello,

I am having trouble with running a temoa model someone else built, most of the tables have the columns: dq_tech, dq_est, dq_rel, dq_comp, dq_time, dq_geog columns in the database. The person I got the database from said that they are using temoa 2, but when I download temoa 2 the schema does not have these "dq_" columns. I cannot find the version with a schema that matches this database. Was hoping one of the developers could point me in the right direction. I do not have access to the machine of the person who made this, which is why I am hoping someone here can recognize the version.

Thanks,
Graham

Hi Graham,

The database you're referring to appears to be from the CANOE (The Canadian Open Energy Model) effort. Here's a bit of context:

The "dq_" columns you're seeing are data quality indicators. They aren't used by the Temoa model itself and are not required by the schema. They're just supplementary metadata added to help track the provenance and confidence of input data.

You can find the official Temoa v2 release here, but note that the Canadian team has since made several custom modifications and additions to both the data and model infrastructure.

Since this is a fairly specific question related to the Canadian version of the model, feel free to reach out to me directly and I’d be happy to point you to the right people or resources. You can reach me at cam...@sutubra.ca.

Cheers,
Cam
