Hi,

I found an installer's problem in v0.8.874.
When a plug-in is installed for the first time, it isn't appear on the list of "Tools - Manage add-ons" on IE, and it doesn't work.

If I uninstall the plug-in and install v0.8.863, it is recognized by IE. After that, I update a plug-in to v0.8.874 and it works with no problem.

My environment is the following,
  OS: Windows7 Pro SP1 64bit,
  IE: version 11.0.9600.18349.

Hi,

First of, thanks for the feedback.
I have just tested locally on a similar configuration (Win 7 SP1, 64bits, IE 11), and I don't have any of these issues.
The plugin does appear in the "manage add-ons" panel, and it does start once I refresh the page.

Would you mind trying again on your end and see if by any chance there was a manipulation error ?

If a old plug-in has been installed and worked normally once, the problem doesn't occur.

I investigated the registry, and found the difference between problem PCs and no-problem PCs.

[HKEY_USERS\...\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{38cd4193-5eee-5b7e-ba60-9af497ee2c59}\iexplore]
"Count"=dword:00000000

Problem PCs don't have "Type" Value. When I added Value - “Type”=dword:00000001, a plugin appears on "Manage add-ons".

I don't know why they not have this value. Please confirm the installer about this registry control.

Yes, the plugin installer is expected to set the register values.
On the issue-PC, does this installer closes saying that the install was a success ?

Hi,

Yes, the installer said success.
And it was displayed on "Programs and Features" in Control Panel.

Is there no change in the installer after v0.8.863?

We changed out installer in Mac (from dmg to pkg), but not on Windows.
