It says that the Model D will show as a class-compliant USB midi device which leads me to believe that it will work fine with IOS devices. I just ordered one from Musician's Friend ($239US with 20% off code I received in an email this morning).

Before I go buy one has anyone used the Model D as a midi controller for lets say Moog Model D App ? From the looks of it it should work though USB but no confirmation anywhere on the web
Don't forget that this is an analog synth with analog controls.
It's more like a Minimoog clone than many might expect by today's common VA products.
I doubt that the knob positions are available digitally at all, the little beast has no presets so I see no point for behringer in "wasting money" for being able to digitally control the analog core. It's about half the price of the Roland.
You can find a bass station II used for close to the price of the Behringer. I'm thinking that would make an excellent controller for Model D. All controls send midi cc and the app even supports that high resolution stuff from the filter cutoff!!

I get that but dropping a bunch of money on an actual hard synth just to use it a s midi controller still seems like a weird thing to do. Given the price of the behringer d, one could argue it's just as cheap as midi controller so I guess it would be cool if it worked.
Well I totally loved the sledge 2 to as a synth more than a midi controller lol. it was digital so its basically a vst in a box lol. Im looking into have a model 15 controller. Also trying to make one myself using arduino
I got quoted 3000 bucks for a replica model 15 midi controller i was like man I can build one for cheaper. I figured it would cost about 1500 if someone made it for me, I seen the one dude made one I offered to buy his or pay for him to make me one no response
I actually sent them an email a couple of years ago asking them to put out one that was 100% hollow. Just a really nice MIDI controller (with poly aftertouch, natch). Kind reply but 'no' was basically the answer. The layout is pretty much perfect. Would need a couple of switches in the OSC, Filter and ADSR section to allow for addressing synths with more than one filter or a third OSC, etc.
We've heard from Behringer about their new 64-step polyphonic sequencer and keyboard MIDI controller hardware, Swing... it looks like it'll be positioned squarely to compete with the familiar, existing controller, Arturia KeyStep, but there is at least one feature that appears to differentiate it from its competition.

Has anyone had success using the Behringer MIDI Foot Controller FCB1010 with Logic Pro X (10.4.7) that could help me get started? After a couple hours with the FCB1010 manual and scrolling through help forums I've had no luck trying to simply get an expression pedal to control a Logic track's volume. There must be something big I'm missing... Here's where I'm at:
I thought this was all I needed to do, but I see no change in Logic when I move Expression Pedal A (or anything else for that matter) during recording, playback, or standstill. Anything I'm missing/ideas where to start? Thanks!
So curious how to set up the FCB1010 in Logic. It would make a great template.
What I'd love to do is assign the foot switches to effects available in pedalboard like distortion, chorus, flange, etc., AND most important to me is Wah to one of the expression pedals. I can't find any info online on how to do this - just promo vids saying that it's possible. I'm not seeing the device in Logic nor my Mac's sound settings. This unit's just been a decoration so far. ? MIDI cable's going from the unit's OUT to interface's IN. It should be configurable on a guitar/bass track, right? Thanks for any tidbits!
Easiest way to get started I think is; move the plugin wah effect, then press cmd+L to open controller assignments in "Learn" mode, move the FCB pedal, then turn off the blue "Learn" button if it doesn't go off by itself. Hth...
Hmm, nothing in the controller assignments windows changes at all when moving the expression pedals. It's as if Logic doesn't recognize them. The "Control Name:" field always says "No message received yet". Just in case it's the FCB since I bought a demo version, I just reset it to factory defaults and it's still not "Learning" the pedal.
Thanks again! ? This vid covers how to do that, in case anyone else ever needs it. Off to give it a go... *quick update - I still can't get the expression pedal working after setting the one I want for Wah position to cc11, so something's either wrong with it or me. ?
I did, but it still wasn't communicating in MIDI Monitor nor Logic. So, I searched again for "FCB1010 expression pedals not working" and pages about "calibrating" came up.

I bought it from Sweetwater as a "demo" and the warranty just expired. I had no idea 2 years went by! My sales engineer said the support team may be able to help. I won't hold my breath, especially after running through the calibration/light show steps. I will post whatever the result of those communiques here.
If there is a simpler wah simulation MIDI controller pedal I will probably order it. I do have an A/B device option to go out to two identical takes - with the one exception of a physical/real crybaby in one chain, but I just thought it'd be cool to stay in the virtual.
Sorry to hear you don't get it working... I know setting this up is not trivial, but it's basically a "set & forget" once it's done... I didn't watch the video, attaching the manual in case you find something there they missed in the video... look in 2.4.5 to set up the expression pedals...
Ran through the instructions twice and still no go and have yet to back from tech. Even the steps to enter the open and closed range (0-127) where the manual states it's possible with the expression pedal, it's non-responsive. Oh well!
So, Sweetwater sent me a FedEx return label at no cost despite being slightly over 2-yr warranty. I guess Behringer has a 3-year IF one registers w/n 3 weeks of purchase. Perhaps resellers have some leeway w/n that range. So, it's heading for testing/repairs if they come to the same conclusion.
