కొంతమంది కుహనా మేధావులు  ఆంగ్లమును 

         సమర్తించడము చూస్తూంటే ఆశ్చర్యం , రవ్వంత అసహనము కలుగుతున్నది. ఆంగ్ల భాష తెలుగు వారిపై ఎంత ప్రభావితము చెందిన దంటే ,  పిల్లలు తెలుగులో మాట్లాడితే పిచ్చి వాడి క్రింద జమ చేస్తున్నారు. ఇంకా చెప్పాలంటే  ఈ కుహనా మేధావులు తెలుగుని ఒక  మతానికి చెందిన దని , ఒక జాతికి చెందిన దని వెర్రిగా మాట్లాడ్డము విడ్డూరంగా ఉంది. ఒక జాతి , ఒక దేశము అభివృద్ధి పథంలో దూసుకు పోవాలంటే  మాతృభాష తప్పని సరి. కొరియా, జపాన్ , చైనా, జర్మనీ లాంటి  దేశాల్లో ఆంగ్ల భాష లేదు , మరి వాళ్ళు     అభివృద్ధి పథంలో దూసుకు పోవడం లేదా?

2. ఇప్పటికే మన దేశం ఇంగ్లిష్ ను ఒక అనుసంధాన భాషగ గుర్తించింది. చారిత్రక కారణాల వల్ల అది బ్రిటిష్ ఇంగ్లీష్. మన బడులలో విశ్వ విద్యాలయాలలో నేర్పే [phonemes ద్వారా] పలుకు బ్రిటిష్ ఇంగ్లిష్ పలుకే అన్నది అందరికీ తెలిసిందే. 

3. వేరే భాషగా  గుర్తించ బడాలి అంటే అక్షరాలు తేడా, వ్యాకరణం తేడా, spelling తేడా, పలుకు తేడాలు [కనీసం కొన్నింటిలోనైనా] ఉండాలి. 

4. బ్రిటిష్ ఇంగ్లిష్, అమెరికన్ ఇంగ్లిష్ ల మధ్య ఉండే colour, color ; criticise, criticize, లాంటి తేడాలను కూడ మనం ఇక్కడ చూపలేమే. 

5. ఇక ఒక విద్యార్థి ఇంగ్లిష్, సంస్కృతం, ఇండియన్ ఇంగ్లిష్ నేర్చుకొంటే త్రిభాషా సూత్రాన్ని పాటించినట్లేనా?

6. ఈ లెక్కన సౌత్ ఆఫ్రికన్ ఇంగ్లిష్, ఇండోనేషియన్ ఇంగ్లిష్, అరేబియన్ ఇంగ్లిష్, ఇలా 50 భాషలనైనా గుర్తించాలి. 

7. ఇంతకీ మనం ఇండియన్ ఇంగ్లిష్ అని ఎందుకు అంటున్నాము? మనం మాట్లాడే పలుకు బ్రిటిష్ నేటివ్ పలుకులా ఉండదనే కదా. ఇంగ్లిష్ ను, కేరళ వారు ఒక రకంగా, చిత్తూరు వారు ఒక రకంగా, ఆదిలాబాద్ వారు ఒక రకంగా, గుజరాత్ వారు ఒక రకంగా, ఒరియా వారు ఒక రకంగా, అస్సాం వారు ఒక రకముగా మాట్లాడుతారు. అప్పుడు ఇండియన్ ఇంగ్లిష్ అని దేనిని గుర్తించాలి?

ఐలయ్య గారి మీద వేరే కారణాల వాళ్ళ కక్ష గట్టిన వారు ఆయన మీద వ్యక్తిగత విమర్శలు చేయడం కాని, ఇండియన్ ఇంగ్లీష్ అన్నది అసలు లేదు అనీ, ఆ విషయాన్ని మళ్ళీ నేరుగా అమెరికా నుండి నొక్కి వక్కాణిస్తుంటే ఆశ్చర్య మేస్తుంది. 

అమెరికన్ ఇంగ్లీష్కూ ఇంగ్లీష్ ఇంగ్లీష్ కూ కూడా చాలా తేడాలు ఉన్నాయి. ఎవరి నిఘంటువులు వారివే. పుస్తకాల దుకాణాలలో ఇండియన్ ఇంగ్లీష్ మీద పుస్తకాలు కోకొల్లలు.

What might be your expertise in this subject in asserting that there is no Indian English?

Education in mother tongue is an important discussion but a separate issue.
