Telugu Fonts: Display Problem

 

I have the following problems with display of Telugu fonts.

 

1) Eenadu fonts: After saving the webpage the fonts in the saved page are not displayed properly. Are fonts downloaded at  http://www.eenadu.net/ along with web page?

 

2) Telugu People.com: Some articles in archieves, which I wanted to read are not getting displayed properly. They claim that they are using dynamic fonts for Telugu. I have gone to their help page and followed all the steps recommended for display of Telugu fonts. My bad luck! I could not read that article which I wish to review. Are you able to see the following link in Telugu?

I am getting a combination of ???, ̳̳, and Telugu fonts here and there. Review of http://vbsowmya.wordpress.com/ was held up because of this nagging problem.

 

3) Koodali: I use windows Xp professional with service pack 2 and Internet Explorer version 6. The Telugu fonts are displayed small in size. I tried going to 'View' and enlarge font size but in vain. Why Telugu fonts in Koodali have small size?

 

4) I wrote few articles in Telugu. I gave them to a typist at a DTP centre and she typed them in Anu font as is the case with most DTP centers. While exporting to HTML the display failed and yielded Greek & Latin. Is there a way to give my articles for typing outside and using them in my blog or Yahoo group ? Can Anu fonts be used for blogs? Are they compatible for use in HTML?

see eenadu in firefox with padma extension installed. (padma.mozdev.org )

and save it; you can open the same in IE, winword etc... :)

Dump all nonteluguunicodepeople Dot comms and come to new world .:)

Let DTP guys use some unicode specific thing. (baraha ? where u can export to unicode)

 Surprisingly most of the solutions given by Chava Kiran are working. Now I am able to see Telugupeople.com Telugu article through Firefox. I am also able to save eenadu.net web pages using Firefox with the idea inputs of KIron.

 

Koodali problem I try to solve using the link given by Veeven at

This I am yet to explore.

May I conclude that Anu fonts are not compatible to HTML?

Our friends at Telugublog are helpful and knowledgeable and I express my happiness at being a member of Telugublog.

I have fixed this problem in machine according to kiran's suggestion. Uninstall all sarkaari fonts..they are mess :-)

 

after this Firefox is able to show telugu nicely..

 

those fonts will work onlt for dayaanidhi maaran.

in sarkaari computer companies like APTS and NIC bureaucracy rules. :-), no wonder these softwares are tested very poorly and delivered to Indian citizens. you can see the difference between a sarkaari language website and bhashaindia.com :-)

It is not only with sarkaari companies, but also Govt. sponsred some university projects. Surprisingly they are also in the same state :(

As suggested by Veeven I have installed Govt.Of India ildc fonts

After installation,  the font size of Koodali in Firefox is better and by view - Text Size- Increase, I am now able to see Koodali, all weblogs at one place, at a comfortable font size.

 

However this didn't solve my problem in Internet Explorer. I continue to get Koodali in very small font. I have followed the advice of

gowri sambat...@gmail.com as given in his letter and now there is some improvement. The font size in I.E Ver.6 is still smaller compared to Firefox. Probabably I.E. Ver 7 may solve this problem.
