I felt so bad after reading the sad demise of Sri
N.R.Nandi. We used to think he is not a telugu writer as he
is in Kharagpur (also, his name is Nandi). After the
success of సిగ్గు సిగ్గు in ఆంధ్రభూమి, they published
his interview once, and then we got to know his real name.

His దృష్టి was the first scientific novel we read in the
monthly magazine at that time. That was a huge hit. It is
the first time someone touched about the clairvoyance and
other scientific things. His "cine జనారణ్యం" was also
a sensation that time. I read his నైమిషారణ్యం very
very late as there were no copies available at that time. I
searched in Nuzvid library for two days to get that book.
The one I got didn't have the beginning 4 or 5 pages. But
that is very good novel. His సీత కథ etc. are normal.
His నైంషారణ్యం was the top among them, I think it
even got some prize (I am not sure though). His "Goodbye
భూదేవి" was ahead of times.

He died of poverty I never imagined. I think we need to
think something on this seriously. I feel so sad and
helpless. It is so frustrating. I don't know what to do. I
am very much depressed with the news.

May his soul rest in peace.

With tearful eyes

Sri
