Soundarya with Savitri (yes mahanati Savitri!). If such a comparison were not
made, people would have simply left it at that and there wouldn't have been
these many posts on that topic.
BTW, I don't see anything wrong with discarding others (even if they were the
best among their contemporaries)�when they don't deserve to be compared with the
legends . We need not reduce our standards just to feel good that someone is
carrying forward (or has carried forward)�the legacy of a legendary
actor/actress/singer.

Dear writer!
It is so because none of the so called present day actresses including the
deceased Soundarya is NOT comparable with that "Mahanati".None has belittled any
of these you mentioned.And by comparirision,no aspersions are cast on these
actresses.When we say that honey tastes sweet,that does not mean no other thing
does not.
Comparision of writing on Savithri & her greatness with an essay on cow is not
in fitness of things please.On the other hand,it tantamounts to belittling late
Savithri.

The scence shows Savitri's great movies wall posters.
It is a nice feeling, not only for hero even for the viewers.
When you compare someone to Savitri, it is not her beauty, they compare, her
innocence, pleasant looks and nice personality and feel good characters she
plays (lover, wife, mother etc).
We heard several times, people comparing Gayyali people to SURYAKANTAM (poor
woman, off-screen, she was an extremely nice lady).
When we compare someone to Tyagaraja, Nannaya, Gandhi, Savitri, NTR and ANR, we
sure add LA,

I know some afraid to be compared to SAVITRI/Meena kumari, taking into
account their Later
part of their lives........though that part remained a lesson and cautioned

What if every good thing of the facets of action are compared with Savthri who
excelled NOT only in action but also in beauty.She was a bewitching damsel
mesmerisng every cine audience-especially Telugu audience?She was a beauty of
the beauties.
Every celebrity has/had two facets of life-private & personal which need to be
considered/viewd independently & objectively.No doubt,Savithri suffered a lot in
her real life owing partlt due to her adamancy & partly due to her too good
nature which made her indulging in excessive charity unmindful of the
consequences etc,she set aside the traces of the shadows of her suffering while
acting & lulled the Telugu audience in the ocean of ecstasy at least during the
tenure of her movie.
