I think that the debate was useful in my case. I read only one book
by Srisri and two by Viswanatha. I wondered why I rembeber Srisri so
well but not a line by Viswanatha. I started feeling that may be I
was put off of by his views. I started looking at 'Hibiscus on the
Lake', twentieth century poems translated by VNR. I found a poem
about a blind beggar by Viswanatha. It has nothing to do with his
ideology and many marxist writers might have written such poems. May
be now, if I get a chance I will read some more by Viswanatha; it
seems from the discussions so far that at least some of his writing
has nothing or very little to do with his views.

About VNR's books; I went to Border's in Ann Arbor to enquire. They
said that they do not have the name Velcheru Narayana Rao in their
data base and only one by David Shulman. Perhaps some of the Andhras
can induce Border's to include VNR's books in their data base.

I ordered two books by VNR more than a month ago from Amazon.com. One
arrived soon and other(about Nayaka kings ..) has not come so far and
they do not know when it will arrive. It seems that some of these
books may be more easily available in India. Does anybody know a
streamlined way of ordering these books from India or anywhere else?

P.S. I started dropping 'garu' in my messages ( Somehow Mohan Rao
sounded much better than Mohana Rao garu or Sri Mohana Rao). If
anybody has objections, please let me know. I will add garu again.
