Vanguri Foundation of America, Inc is pleased announce that "America Telugu Kadha- Volume One" was successfully released in India during February, 2002 at various cities. This is an anthology of 35 short stories written by Telugu writers of North America that included several Telugu diaspora stories. This is the first publication of the Foundation in India and its 19th overall.
The book release programs took place in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Sreekakulam, Kakinada and Madras. The events are covered in most news papers, several cable TV channels and All India Radio stations and several web sites.
Chekuri Rama Rao, Peddibhotla Subba Ramayya, K. Sreenivas, Kavana Sarma, Smile, Vasireddy Naveen, K. Malayavasini, Karlapati Rama Murthy, Ghandikota Brahmaji Rao, Ganapathiraju Atchuta Rama Raju, C. Rhavacari, P. Satyavthi, Puranapanda Ranganath, K. Veerbhadra Sastry, Madugula Nagaphani Sarma, Addepalli Rama Mohana Rao, Bethavolu Ramabrahmam, B.S.R. Krishna, Pappu Venugopala Rao and Malathi Chandur are the principal speakers in these book release programs.
This publication "America Telugu Kadha- Volume One" is recognized as the as the first book of its kind in Telugu Literature. The historic importance of the diasporic literature produced by first generation Telugu writers is appreciated by most speakers.
