ఉన్నాయి. ఐతే ఒట్టి అరవం అని రాసినప్పుడు సబ్దం అని మాత్రమే అర్థం.

According to Grammer, Tamil words would never starts with the letters
ర and ల. The words those starts with these letters will be
suffixed to one of the Vowels.
For Example:-
అరంగనాథస్వమి = రంగనథవమ్య్
ఇరవ్ = రవి
ఇలకష్మణన్ = లకష్మణన్
ఇరండు = రెండు
Hope this helps you to understand how "ravam" of Telugu is getting
changed to "aravam" in Tamil.

A small request! Since you happen to know Tamil too, I want to take
advantage of it and repeat my request (made earlier here), hoping
for some pointers. Do you have any information/recommendations about
complete (and hopefully good!) translations of Tiruvalluvar's
Tirukkural into Telugu? I recently read that గరిమెళ్ళ's works
include translation of one part of it. I am really interested- and
based on whatever I heard and read (in English), it seems an amazing
work.

ఈ కవిగారు "national integration" కీ "religious integration" కీ
మధ్య కొంచెం కన్ఫ్యూజ్ అయ్యారు.
ఆయన దృష్టిలో మల్లెపూలు హిందూ మత సాంప్రదాయమనుకుంటా - ఎప్పుడూ
మసీదుకి వెళ్ళి వుండడు. హోలీ గులాలు ఉత్తర భారత సాంప్రదాయం కాబట్టి
ఈయన బహుశా ఇది ముస్లిమ్ symbol అనుకొని ఉండాలి.
అందుకే పాపం ఈయనకి నోబెల్ ప్రైజు రాలేదు ;-).

I have a doubt. Does Tirukural say anything not mentioned in Sumathi and Vemana Satakams?
Whenever people (Tamil or people from Hindi belt) mention about Tirukural, I wonder whether they are aware of S and V satakams.
