Rangasthalam Telugu Movie Review, Rating

It's been almost 2 years without a release, for 2 of the prominent faces of Tollywood, the mass hero Mega Powerstar Ramcharan, and the forever creative Maker Sukumar, both of whom were seen last in 2016, with cop thriller Dhruva and the stylish revenge drama Naanaku Prematho. Now, the duo is all set to surprise audience on screen, with a genre new for them, in Rangasthalam Review. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive Rangasthalam Review.

Set in a village Rangasthalam Review, in the 80s, the movie has Ramcharan playing Chitti Babu, a deaf, but a Hyperactive guy, who's loved by everyone in Rangasthalam Review, and most loved by Ramalakshmi (Samantha). The farmers of  Rangasthalam Review are in deep trouble with debts and lands getting confiscated, and the man behind all this happens to be the most respected and most feared man of Rangasthalam Review, President (Jagapathi Babu).

As the whole village fears him and he keeps unleashing his cruelty and evilness on the innocent farmers, a fightback begins, from Chitti Babu's family itself, as Chitti Babu's beloved elder brother Kumar Babu (Aadhi Pinisetty), inspired by the experienced Dakshinamurthy (Prakashraj), decides to contest the local body elections, against President who had so far been unopposed.

Now it's a game of power, politics, betrayal, and revenge, as President makes all possible moves to end the uprising of farmers headed by Kumar Babu, and Chitti Babu stands by his brother whom he respects and loves, and is even willing to sacrifice his own life for. Despite all his love and support to people whom he considers his very own, Chitti Babu ultimately faces the biggest betrayal and shock of his life, as his backstabber happens to be none other than...Now it's Chitti Babu's time to complete ultimate revenge for the betrayal, and winning the power game against the evil President to save Rangasthalam from his clutches.

Rangasthalam Review has some impressive technicians who've toiled over the years to bring the authentic village feel of the 80s and giving life to the world of Chitti Babu. The key technicians who are sure to Excel, are art directors Ramakrishna and Monica, whose work is evident even in the trailer, and ace Cinematographer Rathnavelu, who has captured the raw, Rustic milieu of Rangasthalam, bringing to reality, the visualization and imaginations of the talented, thinking Maker Sukumar.

Rangasthalam Review  has Songs by Devi SriPrasad have already become chartbusters, and the composer, after some mediocre albums like MCA, is back with a rage, and has scored a sixer, be it the lovely Yentha Sakkagunnave or the folksy Rangamma Mangamma/ Ranga Rangasthalam, or the peppy dance number Jigelu Rani (with the sexy siren Pooja Hegde sure to rock as a desi vamp oozing oomph), DSP has delivered a Sureshot album that hits the right notes.

Rangasthalam Review has been one movie, considered Sukumar's dream project, and with numerous delays in the making, is all set to release this month end. With Sukumar known for his innovative ideas and concepts even in simplest of plots, making the screenplay interesting and appealing, his stepping into the rural setup raises expectations, and from the stunning trailer and teaser, one can expect a cracker of a performance from Ramcharan, who's gone through a drastic transformation and sports a stunning new look and body language like never before, making one wonder if this was the same mass hero mouthing punches and bashing goons all over! As said by Ramcharan himself, once can expect Rangasthalam to be the finest performance of his career.

The same can be said about Samantha Akkineni, who is seen in an impressive village Belle makeover, and as Ramalakshmi, the bold rural Beauty madly in love with Chitti Babu, and with that typical Telangana accent, the actress, known for her glam acts is sure to display another dimension of performance here. That will definitely help Rangasthalam review. Sukumar has been one maker who's constantly giving proper villains in his films, and the only one to have used Jagapathi Babu properly, and here too, one can expect a powerhouse act from the veteran as President.

However, the surprise element is gonna be Aadhi Pinisetty, who's gone for a changeover from hero to a suave villain to an innocent-faced villain in Rangasthalam Review. With the television hottie Anasuya in a new look as Rangammaththa and versatile Veteran Prakashraj and Naresh to support, Rangasthalam Review will be rich in Performances.

After Naanaku Prematho, expectations are high on Sukumar to deliver bigtime, and with the stunning promos and the exciting visuals, and the transformation of the lead artists he had brought in, one can expect Sukumar to deliver a rustic winner, with love, anger, betrayal, power politics, burning contemporary issues faced by farmers, all inculcated in his perfectly etched screenplay to deliver a winner, with this Rangasthalam Review.
