Personalisingmy MX-5 with carefully chosen upgrades and embellishments has been an enjoyable task. Each upgrade came with its own challenges and things to consider. For example, where to source an item from; or which of the many available options would best suit my MX-5?

Mazda brings upgrades to the suspension of the CX-50 installing new dampers for a more comfortable ride on all 2024 CX-50 models. Customers also receive a recalibrated electric power-assist system, which will be equipped on all cars produced from November this year. A total of eight trim levels are offered for the refreshed SUV with the range-topper being the CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus starting at $44,675.

The Mazda Premacy, also marketed as the Mazda 5, is a compact multi-purpose vehicle manufactured by Japanese automaker, Mazda. Introduced in 1999 to replace the Mazda MPV, the Mazda Premacy saw 3 generations until it was discontinued in 2018. The vehicle saw various changes throughout its production years with a different platform for each generation but was consistently available in either front- or all-wheel-drive options.

Always make the suspension faster than the engine. Ensuring you can turn and stop will always be more important than knowing you can go fast. Getting your Mazda Premacy suspension dialed in can equate to you out-handling your competition, and depending on your type of racing, will even give you better times. If your vehicle came from the factory with softer suspension, it will almost always handle poorly until the suspension is replaced with a performance setup such as coilovers. Old, worn out suspension also has a very negative effect on the handling and should be replaced, especially if used for any spirited driving where handling is key.
