Ithen tested a USB to Ethernet adapter, and it was able to work.
So I narrowed the issue down to the onboard Ethernet driver.
Driver was up to date, so I did the typical uninstall/reinstall, Did not work.
However I knew my Windows 10 machines worked flawlessly.
I just registered to also confirm the issue is real, and happens in HP Gaming laptops as well, with Realtek Gaming Gbpe Ethernet Devices, which Windows 11 seems to force updating in Windows Update using "Realtek - Net - 1.0.0.23 (Driver Update)", then we need to revert back every time to previous driver (the one from HP supports download page which is SP111133 for me at least, owning a HP Pavillion Gaming 16-a0033ns). Hope this helps someone too and that this issue is fixed! It seems this is not happening in Windows 10, so W10 with latest Realtek drivers seems to be working, the issue is only in W11! (so strange btw)...
Windows 11 with the last Realtek Gaming 2.5 Gbpe Ethernet Devices driver is having the problem only with VPN IPSEC, that is working only with vpnssl. Installing the lastest driver for windows 10 fix the problem with IPSEC.
Fortinet Answer: "...there will be no fix from the forticlient side as this is not a forticlient issue. This issue is with Realtek drivers and a drivers update might fix the issue. To avoid this issue, try not to use the latest Realtek driver, it has the bug, just use the driver that comes with Windows and that should work."
Thanks! But I'm using current latest Forticlient VPN version 7.0.8.0427... any ideas where to get the installer for VPN version 7.0.2? I cannot find anywhere... :( so the only workaround for me is to keep using previous realtek drivers from HP drivers download page (not windows update latest version).

I recently bought a Archer T4U v3 USB Adapter, and everytime i boot my computer the driver resets from the official TP-Link Driver to a generic Realtek Driver, which causes massive packet loss in my connection making it impossible to use. Is there a way to prevent windows 10 from switching the drivers everytime i boot? The only workaround i found was to repair the TP-Link driver through the app, but everytime i reboot the Realtek gets installed again.
Everytime i reboot the PC i get the usb disconnected and connected sound and the driver changes from the TP-Link to a Realtek. When i repair the driver with the TP-Link application, the driver changes to the correct one, and it works fine when i do that, but when i reboot the pc, the driver gets overwritten by the realtek one and i get massive packet losses with it.
I never installed any realtek driver, windows 10 installed it automatically when i inserted the usb adapter on the pc for the first time, and even if i try to uninstall this driver it gets installed again.
@TNascimb to everyone who's having issues when using the T4U, don't use the TP-Link provided drivers, are CRAP, the most understandeable thing is to know wich chip uses the T4U V3, and thats in fact a Realtek RTL8812BU
@Lincer556 I have tried to download the link you provided but I am unable to install the driver via device manager. I tried to install using the setup after extracting the folder but the network adapter T4U V3 has no response.
This is what I did to prevent the roll back to Microsoft's driver from another forum. Solution is to prevent Windows from automatically upgrading drivers (System -> Advanced System Settings -> Hardware -> Device Installation Settings -> No)
Basically disable windows from updating the drivers automatically. To me, the TP-link drivers are definitely better than the Microsoft's driver but TP-Link's driver will spike every 20 seconds or so.
I bought a new laptop basically for conducting Zoom job interviews, but audio will not work in Zoom desktop despite spending hours messing with drivers, settings etc. !! This is extremely frustrating.
Since you only have ONE output device, most likely you have Zoom Meetings muted in Windows 11's sound mixer. Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray then click on open volume mixer (System > Sound > Volume Mixer). Look down the list of Apps and find Zoom Meeting and make sure that it is unmuted. Also check the volume control at the top and make sure that the System volume control is unmuted. Also make sure that both volume controls are turned all the way up. In addition, if Zoom will not allow you to unmute your mic because the button says "Join Audio" then click the button and click "Join with Computer Audio". If you can unmute the mic then select the audio menu (^) then "Test Speaker & Microphone" to test the speaker from Zoom.
I replied to this thread yesterday and the reply was published, but then I made an edit to add a detail and since then the reply has been invisible. I don't know what the moderators are doing with it, so here it is again.
About two weeks ago it was working correctly. Yesterday the sound output in Zoom failed (but all other apps continue to work). When I do a mic test it splutters a bit and then silence, until the test sound is repeated.
I've tried rolling back the Realtek driver, the Zoom desktop client. I shall draw the line at rolling back Windows, there are limits. I've also tried disabling audio enhancements etc. both in Zoom settings and in Windows device manager, to no effect.
Yes, I've seen that post. I do have a Logitech webcam plugged into a docking station that my lap top is connected to. I had to disable the webcam under "Sound, video and game controllers" for the laptop speaker to work in other windows applications.
Yes, computer audio is now working in my Zoom application and I can successfully conduct zoom interviews without dialing in through my cellphone (which is always poorer quality). I have no idea what changed and why it works now and didn't before.
Thank you, but GoClever send me other drivers. Now I have other problem. I connect headphones to 3,5 mm sound jack. Work speakers on tablet. After I disconnect 3,5 mm jack from tablet and tablet speakers are "off". How to invert? Speakers are default device. Uninstall driver and again install still wont work.
I have drivers by GoClever Support (still wont exist Windows 10 TH2 (v1511 10586) new Audio driver for GoClever Insignia 800 Win by Intel) and working Audio driver is for tablet GoClever Insignia 1010 Bussines because other Intel driver wont work for me on Windows 10 TH2. I try upgrade from Win 10 10240 to TH2 v1511 10586 and now clean install Windows 10 TH2 (v1511 10586) from USB on tablet. After I install drivers + Windows Updates. Audio driver work only with headphones in 3.5 mm jack. Headphones wont work, work only tablet speakers. I this problem also report on support for Windows Insiders and Microsoft Support. Microsoft recommend contact Intel support.
Yes, I contacted GoClever. I wrote up that I have driver from GoClever Support, but they give me only driver for GoClever Insignia 1010 Bussines because someone else does not want work on GoClever Insignia 800 Win with Windows 10 v.1511 10586, but this audio driver have problem with 3.5 mm jack yet. If are headphones connected to 3.5 mm jack (wont work headphones), tablet speaker works. If I disconnect 3.5 mm jack, tablet speakers are off.
Hi, i have tablet colorovo supreme tab 8 and the same problem with audio after update to win10. I try to install drivers from win8 and no succes. I got the idea to install the audio drivers from the Lenovo Tablet dedicated to the processor atom z3735 and surprisingly works.
I have been trying to fix my audio issue on my HP Omni 10 tablet (intel atom processor) for over a month now. Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10, I've had no sound. I had tried everything recommended solution from Windows, and Intel, and I even was on the phone with an HP support person for 3 hours as she tried everything, to no avail!
I have one Micromax canvas Lapbook L1161 with atom z3735F. the windows 10 has been upgraded to v10.0 build 10240. my intel SST audio device & realtek I2S audio codec are of version 604.10154.1010.4947. now the problem is, before applying your solution only speaker driver was shown in playback device list but sound was not coming neither by speaker nor by audio jack. after applying your solution only speaker generates the sound but headphone still not working, actually I found that no headphone device is there in the playback device list, only speaker is showing. if I connect a headphone, still then only speaker generates sound.
I had tried everything to no avail. As one last effort before resigning myself to using an external bluetooth speaker for the rest of my computer's life, I tried this method, and it magically restored my speakers to perfect working order. Thanks so much!

So I used oculus link with the cable and had perfectly fine audio 1 week ish ago. Well today there is no audio coming from the headset. My PC had no clue there is audio capability in the device. I do not mean the audio is disabled. I checked the disabled devices and it is not there. I re-installed everything. Forgot the quest 2 and found it again. And there is still no "oculus virtual audio device" When there was a week earlier. All I want is for my PC to find it again.
Within the Last 2 months the oculous software has added a toggle to just turn off speakers and mics. This is much better than what I had to do, which was uninstall drivers and reinstall drivers prior and after every time I used the quest.
