As much as I despise Adam, he'd be really cool in a fight. And Jetstream Sam just needs to be in a fight in general. These two swordsmen with misguided ideals and blaster sheaths have taunted their rivals across their journeys, but now they'd cross paths with each other. Not only would there be good banter between the two, but some amazing action as well. If Raiden vs Wolverine was an indicator of how awesome a Metal Gear Rising character could be in a DB, there's gotta be another Rising rep sometime. While this isn't my favorite MGR MU, it's definitely up there.

Ash vs Yugi and Gingka vs Dan are brilliant, but I like this. The fight basically consists of the two player trainers from high quality indie pocket monster games. With both characters being blank slates with not much canon material in terms of the actual monsters they use, their rosters can be built up from scratch. There's a lot of unique monsters in both series that they could use with all kinds of funky and cool designs. Another aspect of this matchup that I think separates this from others is the potential use of metahumor during the fight. Nexomon especially dips into this in the game, so having that sort of humor in a fight like this could make it really funny. I'd imagine it would consist of a 6 v 6 fight, but I have no clue what their lineup would include. Even though one game is 2D and the other is 3D, the visual styles match up really well, so I could see the visuals going either way. The soundtrack has a lot of fun potential too.

Quick backstory on this one. Before the film studio BlueSky was shut down, they were going to adapt one of my favorite graphic novels, Nimona, into an animated movie. The comic has a lot of potential to be a great movie, so it's a shame the studio got canned before the film could be finished. Apparently the filmmakers are trying to find a distributor so they can finish the film, but I dunno how true that is. At least we still have the comic to look back on, which I'd highly recommend. One of the characters in it is the primary rival of the protagonists, Ambrosius Goldenloin. After rereading the comic, I realized he had many similarities to a character from a show I've been really into recently: Lilith from the Owl House. Both are praised as heroes despite working for secretly nefarious groups. They are the top dogs in their groups, though both are easily replaceable. Both grew up with the protagonist's mentor (Ballister and Eda) and used to be really close with them. While the mentor was more skilled than them, they were still supportive of them. However, everything changed on the day of an important competition. They sabotaged the mentor in a way that ruined their life and chances of success (Lilith gave Eda an incurable curse and Ambrosius blew up Ballister's arm). Their horrific actions were rewarded by two powerful and influential groups (the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics and the Emperor's Coven). Due to their actions, their best friend turned to a life of petty crime and their friendship turned into a bitter rivalry. They even start fighting the mentor's magically gifted and quirky pupil (Luz and Nimona). As the story goes on, they admit their mistakes and try to make things right for everyone, especially the ones they hurt the most. I think this fight has really great potential! There haven't been a lot of fights that take place in fantasy settings, so this fight would be perfectly suited for it. The soundtrack would reflect that as well. While Lilith carries an heir of sophistication, Ambrosius is more of an arrogant heroic type. Thus, their personalities could clash well and there's good banter potential. Especially so if both characters lost their cool. While Lilith is a highly skilled magic user, Ambrosius is skilled in the blade and even has some technological enhancements he can use in a fight. Thus, the fight could be an uphill battle with Ambrosius countering Lilith's spells and sending attacks back at her. Then things could get really intense when Lilith succumbs to her curse and transforms into her owl form, and so Ambrosius has to fight against said monstrous behemoth.

Now this is what I call a rock-solid matchup. Basically, both are antagonists with earth powers and leadership positions that are trying to help their people in ways that are not just misguided, but hurt them as well. We haven't really had a cool earth-themed fight since Gaara vs Toph. I believe this could be on a much grander scale than that fight. Imagine how Brooke's massive concrete constructs vs Kuvira's giant Colossus could look like in 3D!

It's about time we got a popular matchup. What's there to say that hasn't been said already? It's a fight between two vastly intelligent kids that make all sorts of crazy machines. The two would play off each other really well in terms of dialogue. Not to mention, choosing which of their various machines could appear in the fight could make this a really hype fight.

Another popular matchup, so I'll keep this one brief. It's a fight between a secret agent penguin vs a secret agent platypus. Skipper's no nonsense dialogue would be pretty funny when paired with Perry, who doesn't talk. Both are great improvisors and skilled fighters, so it could make for tight choreography. The song also needs to have an over the top Bond-like feel to it.

Bets: Rarity. Kanaya is really strong, having taken hits from the multi+ Condesce in [S] Collide. However, with IDW becoming canon in MLP, this makes the fight much fairer. Since Rarity scales to stronger characters with the added canon, on top of other crazy feats, this probably gives her the win.

What hasn't been said about this matchup that's already been said before? It has the potential to be one of the most crazy and off the wall fights. With how much it's been requested, I'd say it's quite likely.

This is probably my most wanted live action fight, as it's a fight of two fictional antichrists from two famous horror-related TV shows. This could have a really oppressive and claustrophobic atmosphere, made more apparent by an intense soundtrack. It would take place in a house while Langdon hunts Jesse down, only wishing for one son of the devil to remain. Although both are incredibly hard to kill with Jesse's reality warping and Langdon's high regeneration and devil's protection, and both are able to bend reality with a simple look or word.

Bets: Elliana. Even though Kiki has multiple mechs she can use, Elliana scales to the other Rivals fighters so I'd say she wins. Plus, if they end up out of the mech suits in the end, Elliana just stomps, because it's a tiny kitty vs a danger noodle

Bets: Psycho Pink. Since Rosy scales to Archie Amy, even above her in some ways, the fight would still be fair, but given the potential of the Savage Sword's damage output, I think Psycho Pink could win

Oh wow, a battle between pink characters right after a fight between pink characters. Really starting to lose creative steam here. Jabs aside, I doubt this ever has a chance of happening since it's a Blazblue character vs a character from a video game webcomic that barely ever updates, but I still really love this. Both are snarky and sarcastic pink cat girls that usually take on a role on the side lines, like as a remote assistant or tutor, but when they fight, they're one of the most powerful characters in their verses. And that's saying a lot given how high Blazblue can get. And while Kokonoe not only has a lot of gadgets at her disposal, but so many resistances, Aeris has a lot of stuff from nerdy things at her disposal, like the Dalorean, Samus' suit, and, oh, I don't know, ARCEUS? Needless to say, that evens out the fight a LOT, but like Him vs Papi, I wrote a script on it you can check out

A really cool fight idea that got popularized last year, there's way more connections than just the two sharing the same name. And the fight itself has the potential to get reeeeally crazy. I dunno about you, but I bet Father wins, though Father losing is also pretty sad ;(

For the longest time, I preferred Funny Valentine as an opponent for Armstrong mostly due to the over-the-top craziness the fight could have. But now that I think about it, puting Funny against someone who can't see or damage his stand and has no counter for it seems pretty unfair. So, instead, I've been leaning towards Armstrong vs G more. Both are influential politicians in positions of power that embody an ideal and way of thinking many people share. These politicians have bombastic personalities and hilarious patriotic dialogue. Both have hidden agendas that are for the better of the people. Actually, both try to induce change through combat. Armstrong wants to use war as a business to further his objectives and so that people will gain freedom to choose for themselves. Meanwhile G wants to bring the world together for peace, literally fighting to achieve his goals. Not to mention, both have similar abilities, using something embedded in their bodies (Armstrong's nanomachines and G's world map on his skin) to fight. All in all, their powers would clash really well, their banter would be over- the-top, and the soundtrack has immense potential to be epic and booming. Not to mention, we haven't really had a Fourth of July-themed episode.

Scott is a character with sooooo many matchups. I won't go over all of them, but I should mention a few before going into this one. Scott vs Travis has good connections, but any animation medium wouldn't work. Plus, Travis has a way better option I prefer. Scott vs Viewtiful Joe works, but I don't have much experience with the series. There's also Scott vs Mordecai, which is an easy honorable mention, but I feel like the connections work better here and Scott vs The Fool has the potential to be a really visually stunning fight. So why do I prefer this Scott matchup over the others? Mostly due to the connections and animation potential. Essentially both go on opposite journeys. Scott is fighting for love, going on a quest to defeat Ramona's exes to get with her. The Fool's journey is jumpstarted out of her broken heart, having gotten into a breakup. And for that reason, she is chosen to go on a quest to defeat rogue tarots, breaking their hearts in turn (people generally theorize the rogue tarots represent the exes she's broken the hearts of in the past). In the end, both come to terms with everything going on and using their newfound power of understanding fight for themselves. Even though both come from different animation mediums, a hand drawn fight could make for a really cool middle ground, seeing as both are easy to draw in those styles. What really sells this fight for me is the clashing aesthetics of both series. The environment would take more inspiration from SWH's synthwave-like backgrounds with visual effects that reference not only that series, but Scott's 16-bit inspired aesthetics. The choreography would be amazing. Even though the Fool primarily fights while riding a motorcycle and has a way wider arsenal than him, watching Scott deal with the intense barrage and overcome it would be a really cool sight. Not to mention, both series have their own subspace highways that grant both characters unique abilities. So, the fight can transition into both subspaces and both can show off their different powers as the aesthetics shift to each fighters' favor. And of course, the soundtrack. OH YES THE SOUNDTRACK! Having a song fusing the chiptune and garage rock of Scott Pilgrim and the vocal synthpop of SWH would be absolutely amazing.
