Feelfree to send me a private message to dive into the details. It could be a quite steeping curve to get into the matter. I can also update you on the changes I did to the code to downsize the binary file.

The interesting thing I learned is that the IP network configuration, and many other parameters, is done on the OS (RT-Thread). That configuration is then merged with the code, compiled and the bin file generated. What I missed was the Wi-Fi configuration in the RT-Thread, see here, therefore I need to set it up manually.

On the camera, I just re-retested the run (which is a home run patch panel to location) installed when the house was built 2 years ago. Both the PoE tester and the Cat5e tester showed no issues using the included coupler so at this point the cable run is about as 100% as it can be.

If a camera is not Power-over-Ethernet Capable, you can also use a PoE injector and splitter combination to use an Ethernet cable for a flexible power installation. One end injects an Ethernet cable with power and data. Then before it reaches the camera, the other end splits (the splitter) this so you are left with an Ethernet cable for data, and a 2.1 mm plug to power the camera.
