Dear IJLTR reader/contributor/board member

Greetings.

I am pleased to reach you on the 1st of October with the announcement of the publication of a new issue of the Journal, Special Issue on Idiomaticity and Language Teaching Research, guest-edited by Dr. John Liontas (University of South Florida, USA). The issue contains seven articles by researchers from the USA, the UK, the Philippines and Iran on the theme of idiomaticity as well as book reviews and an Interview with Prof. Alison Wray.

I would hereby like to extend my heartfelt wishes to the contributors of the Special Issue, and in particular to Dr. Liontas, the guest-editor whose editorial support has been enormous. The issue would not have been published on time without the generous support I received from reviewers and journal board members as well as the journal manager and my editorial assistants, whose roles I would like to sincerely appreciate.

A new development is that we are moving to a new journal management system. Our new issue is now accessible through ijltr.urmia.ac.ir, with the past issues available at www.urmia.ac.ir/ijltr. All journal archives will be transferred to the new site shortly.

I invite you to browse the new issue , and plan for your own contribution to our future regular or special issues. Our next Special Issue in 2018 will be guest-edited by Prof. Dan Douglas on the theme of Assessment for Teaching. To learn more and to submit your work, please visit: ijltr.urmia.ac.ir.

May Allah accept your mourning in Ashura.

Best wishes
