New Research: Increased Prevalence of Stroke Hospitalizations Seen in Teens and Young Adults

Some new research was released today on the prevalence of stroke
hospitalization in teens and young adults. The Annals of Neurology
reports that ischemic stroke hospitalization rates in adolescents and
young adults aged 15 to 44 have increased up to 37% and there is also
an increase in the prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, obesity,
lipid disorders, and tobacco use among this age group during the 14-
