Grouping column sorting ignored

I grouped by "Shipping Date" column and then sorted ASC and DESC.
DESC sorting was ignored for this column. Sorting on other columns
worked. Sorting on the "Shipping Date" column works when that column
is not in the GroupBy. Looks like a bug.

I noticed this, but when I checked the demo project (try group by "Order Date") in the Telerik website I found the same behavior.

You are correct, they have this bug too.  I'm sure this can be fixed inside the helper, since correct grouping and ordering information is getting passed into the GridCommand variable by the grid.

This seems a matter of preference on what should be done first, grouping or sorting, I do not really like the idea of ​​changing the behavior of the grid, but I will continue to investigatewhether it is really a bug...

I don't understand why this would a preference thing.  Seems like both should be applied.  I sort and group by the same column.  The sort should be respected but it's not.  Bug. No?
