How often is the database updated?

Stanislas,

How often is your DB updated from the sources? When I do searches
through the twitter API directly I get recent updates - but the
teleportd API seems to deliver old posts.

I've built a wordpress plugin that caches searches from teleportd into
the wordpress DB so that I'll only need to hit your service
intermittently - but I still need it to be accurate within the past 30
minutes or so. Will that be possible with your API?

As you can see on our website, the database is updated in realtime.

Could you provide us with the search you are doing?

NOTE:

The /search endpoint of our API currently only supports geotagged pictures, so you might have more recent non-geotagged pictures available on twitter.

The new version of the API we're working on will include all pictures coming from twitter (non-geotagged as well). Stay tuned for an announcement on this mailing list.

Thanks for the reply - for our needs we are just trying to capture all
pics anywhere that are tagged with 'kony2012'. Can I do that with
your API, or do I have to pass in a location as well?

Hi Bryan,

You can do that, but it'll focus on geotagged pictures until our next API release.

So that's normal if you see more pictures on twitter (as it includes both geotagged and non-geotagged pics)
