Hello Johannes,
To my knowledge, sip:0123456789 is not a valid SIP URI. The valid one should look like an email address, i.e. containing the host part.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIP_URI_scheme
Telephone also supports tel URIs, and it looks like that’s exactly what you need if you want to call a phone number instead of a SIP address. Opening a “tel:0123456789” URL instead of "sip:0123456789” should work.
Alternatively, if Telify supports something like SIP URI templates, you could configure it so that it would produce URIs in the form of “sip:<number>@<host>”. Those would be valid SIP URIs and should be handled by Telephone.
By the way, Telephone can make a call from a text selection in another app. See the ‘How to make calls from a text selection in another application’ question in the FAQ.
https://www.64characters.com/telephone/faq/
And one last word about choice of an app for handling tel URLs. FaceTime is configured by default as an app that is notified when the user opens a tel URL, but this can be changed in FaceTime preferences. See the ‘Default for calls’ option on the bottom.
