This is now the same as the "offline after sleep".  I've been working at my Mac (10.11.3) all day and twice both accounts have gone from available to offline.

I'm running 1.1.4.

This has been happening to me for months.  It definitely didn't always happen.  Maybe an OS upgrade or new Telephone version did it.  At this point, I just don't know.

I have Blink Pro, but I prefer Telephone.  I hope this is a bug that can be fixed, or I can provide information that will help track it down.  Let me know.

More info:

It seems like it takes an hour or two for it to go offline.

The two accounts are on different networks: one is on my local network and one is at work.  They always go offline at the same time (or so close I don't notice they're not both offline).

When I see them offline, I select "Available" and that always fixes it.

Hi,

I am also wondering if there is a way to automatically re-connect on wake/disconnect.  I note there was a solution previously posted (2014) using another third party application, but wondered if there is a way to do this in the app?

I love how simple this app is, but it's frustrating that it disconnects when the mac has been locked.

Thanks!

The original post should have read "This is NOT the same as the ..." I have this problem when there is NO sleep involved.

The “offline after sleep bug” has been fixed and will be available in the next release.

However, there’s not enough info on “going offline after some time” bug. So if somebody has more details, please share.

What details do you want?  I can start Telephone up and start using my Mac and look over some time later (30 minutes or an hour) and see that it's offline. At no time from when I started it to the offline event, did the computer sleep.

I have Blink Pro installed on the same computer and it never does this.  (It has other bugs, which is why I prefer Telephone.)

Could you collect a debug log?

1. Quit Telephone and run in Terminal:
defaults write com.tlphn.Telephone LogLevel -integer 4
2. Launch and use Telephone normally (or just make it sit there without any action).
3. When the problem reproduces, QUIT Telephone and send me this file:
/Users/username/Library/Containers/com.tlphn.Telephone/Data/Library/Application Support/com.tlphn.Telephone/Telephone.log

Please also try disabling App Nap for Telephone by running the following command in Terminal when Telephone is not running:

defaults write com.tlphn.Telephone NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES

After that launch Telephone and try to reproduce the problem.

I have a suspicion that because App Nap interferes with timers, Telephone sends keep-alive UDP packets with longer intervals as 15 seconds, as it normally does. And this could be not enough for the NAT or firewall in your router.
