hii,

I am totally new to Doors and currently facing lots of probs. I hav
been given an readymade database of req. by client. but while opening
any formal module, the dxl interaction window opens and it shows error
as "an include file cud not b found" . After clicking on ok the module
open after sumtime again the error pops up. I got the missing file frm
client but am not able to include it in the database.
If any1 has any idea abt this plz help me.

Thankin in advance.

It is probably a matter of finding the correct folder to put the
include file in. The easiest way to do this is to ask your client,
otherwise its a matter of hunting through the database to find the
script that calls-up the include file, and see what folder it's
expecting the file to be in. The script could be in "Layout DXL",
"Attribute DXL", or a "Trigger", with the last option being most likely
if the problem affects all modules.

hii,
Thanx 4 replyin.
I found the problem. It is in attribute dxl. I found the path and cud include the file. but now there is another prob the 2nd line of attribute dxl code sayz: UpdateDisplayAttribute(obj). Now it shows an error saying undeclared variable  and improperly concatenated tokens.
If u cud help me with this it wud help a lot.

A bit of a puzzle this. UpdateDisplayAttribute is not a "built-in"
function, therefore it must be defined in some DXL that your client
wrote. This would have to be in an #include-ed file but you seem to
suggest that the "an include file cud not b found" problem is fixed.
Maybe you have been given the wrong include file???

Yah, I think what u r suggesting may b right. I am gonna chk whether it is a correct include file. And this error is occuring whenever i open any module in tht folder. But still i am sure this is not a trigger but attribute dxl prob. Do u think i am right?
Thanx 4 all the help.

If each of the affected modules has a DXL attribute that #include-s the
same file then that is probably the cause.
