Problem with multiple speak tags

I did a quick TTS PhoneML app where I tried to mix various voices
during the app. The result was that only the first soeak cibtebt was
delivered. The rest were ignored. Was my expectation wrong? Is only
one speak group allowed?

Mixed voices should work for you. Try:

<phoneml>
<speak voice="allison">this is a test<\speak>
<speak voice="soledad">this is a test<\speak>
<phoneml>
