Bashir, Pervaiz resign from Warid, Wateen

ISLAMABAD: Members Board of Directors, Warid Tel and Wateen Telecom, Bashir A Tahir and Pervaiz A Rashid have resigned from both the companies, it was learnt on Friday. Well-placed sources said after the resignation of both the directors a big reshuffle is expected in Warid Tel and Wateen Telecom — two companies of Abu Dhabi Group. When contacted, Bashir A Tahir said he has resigned due to his personal engagements. Bashir and Pervaiz are brothers. The Abu Dhabi Group has invested $20 billion in telecom and banking sector. The group has invested in other sectors also.
