HTC a Taiwanese smart phone maker, has rolled its copy cat touch phone
version of Apple's iPhone named "HTC Touch"

In relation to the touch technology HTC CEO said ""We are actually
very pleased that a company like Apple agrees with our direction,"
What a Joke !!!

The interesting thing is it is already available in the markets where
iPhone has not launched , and work on windows mobile OS. The price is
equivalent to iPhone.

Incidently, HTC has been advertising their various products (this one not included yet) on the front pages of major dailies of Pakistan!

The name "touch" would sound interesting from a marketing POV.
Over the past few months we have a local contraceptive firm advertising fairly aggressively....incidentally it also has the same name...

I have one of the old models. The only phone I know of that needs to be
rebooted regularly, sometimes daily.

I think the HTC touch is available in Pakistan.
I saw it on the beliscity website, dont know about the open market availability.
