In attempting to follow the instructions in the answer I ran into the problem, that I was unable to move the copy of winprint.dll that was obtained from another PC in house into the "C:\Windows\System32\spool\prtprocs\x64" folder. I was informed that I needed Admin permission but was not provided with a place to enter my password.

Open the registry editor (Start > Run > type regedit.exe and press Enter)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Print Processors\winprint in registry editor.
Check for existence of Driver key. If it does not exist, add new string value named Driver and set it equal to winprint.dll.

Non-system processes like winprint.dll originate from software you installed on your system. Since most applications store data on your hard disk and in your system's registry, it is likely that your computer has suffered fragmentation and accumulated invalid entries which can affect your PC's performance.

In Windows Task Manager, you can see what CPU, memory, disk and network utilization is causing the Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System process. To access the Task Manager, hold down the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. These three buttons are located on the far left of your keyboard.

The winprint.dll is an executable file on your computer's hard drive. This file contains machine code. If you start the software Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System on your PC, the commands contained in winprint.dll will be executed on your PC. For this purpose, the file is loaded into the main memory (RAM) and runs there as a Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System process (also called a task).

Many non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system.winprint.dll is used by 'Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System'. This is an application created by 'Microsoft Corporation'.

If you no longer use Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System, you can permanently remove this software and thus winprint.dll from your PC. To do this, press the Windows key + R at the same time and then type 'appwiz.cpl'. Then find Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) Operating System in the list of installed programs and uninstall this application.

And that brings us to Print Processors. Print processors are user-mode DLL files that convert the spooled data from a print job into a format that is understood by a print monitor. When a print job is spooled, the data is contained in a spool file. The print processor reads the file, performs the conversion on the data stream and writes the converted data to the spooler. The spooler sends the data to the correct print monitor. Print processors are associated with printer drivers during driver installation. The default Print Processor provided with the operating system is winprint.dll.

First of all, it is worth understanding why a winprint.dll file is missing and why winprint.dll errors occur. It is widespread for users to encounter situations where software does not work due to flaws in .dll files.

DLL files such as winprint.dll are categorized as Win64 DLL (Dynamic link library) files. As a Windows Print Processor DLL file, it was created for use in Microsoft Windows Operating System by Microsoft.

winprint.dll is considered a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file. Dynamic Link Library files, like winprint.dll, are essentially a "guide book" that stores information and instructions for executable (EXE) files - like HelpPane.exe - to follow. These files were created so that multiple programs (eg. Microsoft Office Access 2010) could share the same winprint.dll file, saving valuable memory allocation, therefore making your computer run more efficiently.

Unfortunately, what makes DLL files so convenient and efficient, also makes them extremely vulnerable to problems. If something happens to a shared DLL file, either it goes missing or gets corrupted in some way, it can generate a "runtime" error message. Runtime is pretty self-explanatory; it means that these errors are triggered when winprint.dll is attempted to be loaded either when Microsoft Office Access 2010 is starting up, or in some cases already running. Some of the most common winprint.dll errors include:

Your winprint.dll file could be missing due to accidental deletion, uninstalled as a shared file of another program (shared with Microsoft Office Access 2010), or deleted by a malware infection. Furthermore, winprint.dll file corruption could be caused from a power outage when loading Microsoft Office Access 2010, system crash while loading winprint.dll, bad sectors on your storage media (usually your primary hard drive), or quite commonly, a malware infection. Thus, it's critical to make sure your anti-virus is kept up-to-date and scanning regularly.

If you're encountering one of the error messages above, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve your winprint.dll issue. These troubleshooting steps are listed in the recommended order of execution.

When the first two steps haven't solved your issue, it might be a good idea to run Windows Update. Many winprint.dll error messages that are encountered can be contributed to an outdated Windows Operating System. To run Windows Update, please follow these easy steps:

If none of the previous three troubleshooting steps have resolved your issue, you can try a more aggressive approach (Note: Not recommended for amateur PC users) by downloading and replacing your appropriate winprint.dll file version. We maintain a comprehensive database of 100% malware-free winprint.dll files for every applicable version of Microsoft Office Access 2010. Please follow the steps below to download and properly replace you file:

GEEK TIP : We must emphasize that reinstalling Windows will be a very time-consuming and advanced task to resolve winprint.dll problems. To avoid data loss, you must be sure that you have backed-up all of your important documents, pictures, software installers, and other personal data before beginning the process. If you are not currently backing up your data, you need to do so immediately.

CAUTION : We strongly advise against downloading and copying winprint.dll to your appropriate Windows system directory. Microsoft typically does not release Microsoft Office Access 2010 DLL files for download because they are bundled together inside of a software installer. The installer's task is to ensure that all correct verifications have been made before installing and placing winprint.dll and all other DLL files for Microsoft Office Access 2010. An incorrectly installed DLL file may create system instability and could cause your program or operating system to stop functioning altogether. Proceed with caution.
