To reset your cameras, locate the reset button on each camera (usually a small hole) and press and hold it for about 10-15 seconds using a pin or a paperclip. This will restore the cameras to their default settings. Once reset, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to reconnect them to your WiFi network. Make sure you have the correct WiFi network name and password on hand.
Have experienced the same. This is driving me nuts. Every time I open the app the previews are in a different order. You can even edit something in one camera, return to the dashboard and they are all re-ordered again! . This seems like it might have originated from an app update as some other configurations have also changed. As someone said previously, I also had my previews in order of importance so this is a real issue for us
Stick Up Cam is our best-selling camera because customers love the compact design, the flexibility of being able to use it indoors or outdoors, and the multiple power options - battery, solar and plug-in. Because nearly 70% of current Ring Stick Up Cam owners use their cameras outdoors, we wanted to ensure that customers were getting more helpful motion alerts with Stick Up Cam Pro.
Hi I have a Ring camera and a Nighthawk extender but I can't get a live view on my Ring app although the Ring app shows the camera as connected with RSSI c-55 and the motion sensor lights trigger on motion and the Ring app alerts us to motion detected etc. Can anyone help me sort out how to fix the not able to show live view issue. I have a iPhone 11 with latest IOS and also a iPadPro again up,to date IOS. Any ideas ' help, appreciated please. Thanks in advance.
No other ring devices have any problems but are connected to my BT router. The camera in the garden got v poor signal and would not work so I bought the Netgear. I set it up not using WPS as advised by others when I looked into it. I connected my camera via Wi-Fi (which I brought into the house) to my BT router this morning and live view works fine but it didn't when connected to the netgear? Is there a setting on th emerge are I need to change or? Thanks again for your help with this issue.
What I'd start with? downgrade the firwmare on it to the .206 version mentioned above and see how it works. If it works fine, awesome. If it doesn't, then I'd factory reset the extender and reinstall it. During the install, uncheck that 'enable 2.4ghz" connection. Again, you'll still be able to use 2.4ghz but it'll use the dedicated backhaul
@josh do you have a more detailed setup on AutomateIT for Fire HD 8 (10th gen). I am trying to set it up to open ring when the doorbell is pressed AND when motion occurs on the camera. And then have it close after 1 minute and go back to my dashboard.
EDIT: update the rule example to trigger the rule when either Ring button is pushed or motion is active, and update the command to bring Fully browser to front 1 minute after.

I bought an echo show thinking it would do what I wanted. I basically want to set up a stream of our ring camera somewhere in the house, so we can notice it. The echo show tends to close the stream after a little bit or requires some kind of reconnection after less than 30 minutes. What's the best device to have a steady stream of your ring devices?
I just installed my new mesh system Deco M4, But having problems with my rear garden ring stick up camera. even thou its only a few feet away from my deco pod. the connection rating is not as good as it was b4 mesh system. I spoke to tech support, but the guy wasn't really interested and said speak to the camera manufacturer. What a charming chap he was . Anybody got any simple fixes ? Looking thru this forum seems to be a common problem. can you Help ? Thank you.
@TP-Link Hi, I just did what was suggested, setting up a guest network with 2.4GHz only, as Ring cameras only work on 2.4GHz. I then reset the Ring camera connecting to the new guest network and it has been an almost perfect improvement. Previously it could take several attempts to get the camera to connect, to the point sometimes I would give up, but it connects almost always (just a couple of instances but I put that down to the connection just waking up if the camera has been dormant for a while, and something I can now live with). Prior to resetting the wifi connection the wifi signal strength was 89% at the camera and the camera was showing the RSSI as -51, so there shouldn't have been an issue with connecting. I therefore can only assume the change to 2.4GHz network is the reason for the much improved performance.
I keep wanting to enable this feature and then the warning puts me off each time... I have a number of Ring cameras, but I'd like to poll just 2 for images. I wanted to poll, say every 20 seconds? Can any S7 owners tell me if this would put that much strain on my hub? Am I playing with fire doing this?
Sorry for the caps but its brilliant and I know what you did. I never thought to open it up. Now you can get the motion notifications and control the lights using the homeseer zwave device and just use the ring for the camera recording. I might go a little further and replace the lights with different bulbs so that they match my other lights.
I just took a look at my Ring floodlights sans camera to see if that could be modded - Not sure as the existing motion detector has a straight shaft rather than a threaded socket and probably the wrong diameter.
Ring, the renowned video doorbell and security camera brand, has come a very long way. The company was founded in 2013 as DoorBot, and after years of hard work, it developed into one of the leading home security brands, with products ranging from video doorbells to professionally monitored home security systems. And finally, in 2018, the internet giant Amazon acquired Ring for a whopping $1 billion.1
Motion detection is the primary security feature of the Ring security cameras. The Ring cameras we tested kept us in the loop through the Ring app2 whenever they picked up movement, and when we tapped on the notifications, they showed us a live feed of our cameras.
You would think that a camera brand like Ring offers cameras with different video resolutions, but the truth is, all Ring cameras feature 1080p HD resolution. Well, we have no qualms with that. 1080p HD is the industry standard, and besides, the images we got from our Ring cameras were clear and vibrant.
If you want the largest selection of smart security cameras, Ring is the best place to look, especially on Prime Day. Read about Ring Prime Day deals and Ring Black Friday deals, as well. Or, explore their cameras on Amazon.
Yep. I get that every so often. Seems to happen when a new video is uploaded to the ring servers and not yet ready to download, or still being downloaded. This is just my assumption so I could be totally wrong.
Can you paste the part of your configuration.yaml file that has to to with the ring doorbell? Then maybe I can offer some help?
Not in any way a expert at this, but I started 2 weeks ago with my raspberry, and actually the ring doorbell and chime was something of the first I got to work. Gotten lots of help in the forums here, so if I can give back by helping others I would love to try!
