Ouch! That last part stung a bit. But yes, i am an ignoramus in one way. I know not very much of the what exactly happened in the past. But I have been brought up in a similar background. My family's lost a lot in these riots, and in riots of the past. We are also deprived of justice. We were also denied jobs, and looked down upon. But I certainly see no good coming from discriminating, and separating as such! We are all part of the same family. There's no reason we should be abusing, and taking advantage of each other. But this has happened, and caused the Telangana region a lot of trouble. I'm not saying it is right for us to be treated as inferiors. It is unacceptable. We are all equals, and should be treated as equals! All I'm trying to say is that there is no need for any violence at all! You may have your reasons to seek a separate state.
You may have faced difficulties to the extreme. But that doesn't mean you want blood shed, wide scale destruction, and racial discrimination, does it? And I'm not saying everybody involved in the agitation is misled. They are mislead, in the sense, violence is being promoted throughout! The govt. should not be biased! Neither should the population be! The so called 'United Andhra' would have bestowed upon us development, if not for those, who for their own stupid reasons, violated the agreements signed, and broke the trust of the population. Merging the two states did not mean one was to give up their habits, language, customs, and culture.
And okay. I agree. Reducing the agitation to KCR is unfair. I apologize for that. But he plays a MAJOR role in this movement! If not for his actions, I seriously doubt the movement would have escalated to this level. This issue is NOT insignificant. It is a very sensitive one, and important too. Seeking a separate state, in my view, is a bit too much. Asking for equal rights is something I'm sure all of us here will support. Seeking a separate state won't solve all your problems, girl. It will hamper development. Forming a new state is not an easy thing to do. The govt. will have a huge hole in it's pocket by the time you get your state. Asking for equal constitutional rights, and equal representation, is something which will both eliminate differences, and help develop the Telangana region! Think about it once.
I haven't said anything about the leaders standing for United Andhra, I won't say anything either, about them. I am only putting forward my views. And I do NOT intend to offend anybody.
What you have lost, can be gained by a peaceful means too, and much faster at that. I'm glad you said you don't want enemity. But a family stays together. The members stand up for each other. They are interdependent. And develop mutually.
I'm really sorry if I am causing you any inconvenience whatsoever. I only want this to be a healthy discussion. Something we can both learn from. Not a clash of what happened in the past.
