Note: 1)This role requires onsite presence 4–5 days per week.

- LOCAL to Austin-Texas profiles preferred
- Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.
Required Skills:
• Experience with Cloud Networking and Security in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with TxDOT, other Texas State Agencies, or Public Sector environments (Must Have)
Required Experience:
• 8–12 years of Network Engineering experience in large enterprise or government environments
• Extensive experience designing, reviewing, and governing firewall and network security architectures
• Expert knowledge of network segmentation, routing, secure connectivity, and defense-in-depth principles
• Proven experience supporting hybrid on-premises and multi-cloud environments
• Ability to act as a technical authority and security advisor
• Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Texas DIR Shared Technology Services (STS)
• Prior experience supporting a State of Texas agency, preferably TxDOT
• Knowledge of DIR policies, state security standards, and compliance frameworks
• Experience supporting application modernization initiatives that improve security and resilience
