The working position is Hybrid and expected to report to an Austin Energy (AE) location at least once a week
The Client main work locations are:
- Primary: AE SCC Location: 2599 Montopolis Drive, Austin, TX 78741
- Secondary: AE Mueller Headquarters: 4815 Mueller Boulevard, Austin, TX 78723
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO TEXAS State only
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Required Skills:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI
Experience with ServiceNow
Experience working at an Electric Utility or other municipality

Overview:

The client is seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage IT operational projects from initiation to closure. The role involves project coordination, planning, monitoring, reporting, and resource management across cross-functional IT teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills, and the ability to foster collaboration among diverse IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage IT operational projects ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality adherence.
Develop and maintain project documentation: scope, schedule, communication plan, cost analysis, training, contingency, and support plans.
Coordinate with team leads and stakeholders to assign resources and tasks.
Track and report project progress, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
Prepare CAB documents and facilitate post-implementation support and transition.
Produce formal documentation compliant with regulated environments.

Required Skills & Experience (4–7 Years)

Proven experience managing IT operational projects end-to-end.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, and WebEx.
Expertise in identifying and managing project milestones, dependencies, and risks.
Effective communication with project sponsors, teams, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP Certification (PMI).
1–2 years of experience with ServiceNow.
2–4 years of experience in an Electric Utility or Municipality environment.
