Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst performs highly complex analysis work, focusing on gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements. This role leads the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assigned application changes using Agile and Scrum methodologies, ensures quality assurance, and supports organizational process improvements through automation. The analyst also develops project deliverables, facilitates communication between business and IT, and provides training to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and document user requirements, business processes, and system issues to improve or automate existing systems.
Elicit and document business needs for new systems and maintain a centralized repository of requirements.
Lead assigned application changes throughout the SDLC using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Develop and oversee project management deliverables such as charters, project plans, test plans, and risk management plans.
Document and maintain change management information in an approved centralized system.
Facilitate meetings and deliver training sessions for diverse audiences, including executive leadership and system users.
Analyze program policies and procedures to evaluate their effect on automated systems.
Identify and recommend opportunities for business process innovation through automation; assist in preparing proposals for new system development.
Provide quality assurance consultation, develop and review test cases, and process change requests.
Consult on system analysis, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
Manage scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment of system changes.
Maintain relationships with vendors, ensure value in contracts and renewals, and review/approve invoices.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

7 years: Senior-level business analysis experience.
7 years: Experience developing and overseeing project deliverables (charters, design docs, test plans, risk assessments).
6 years: Application analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution implementation.
6 years: Quality assurance consultation and oversight.
6 years: Leading SDLC initiatives using Agile/Scrum.
5 years: Identifying opportunities for process automation and supporting system proposals.
5 years: Designing/reviewing test cases and processing change requests.
5 years: Developing training materials and conducting formal training.
3 years: Strong written and verbal communication with executive leadership.
