TekRadius 5.7 upgrade

We recently upgraded from 5.5 to the latest version.  It wasn't the smoothest of transitions.  When attempting to restore the database backup it says (Restore) [5] Padding is invalid and cannot be removed. 

So I attempted to just recreate everything from scratch using screenshots.  Things seem to be fine however I cannot get users to authenticate.  seeing the following errors in the log

LSALogonUser failed for 'Reda...@domain.com', cannot obtain sAMAccountName [0])
PEAPv0-MS-CHAP v2 failed for user ' Reda...@domain.com  ', sending Access-Reject (Default).

Any help would be appreciated. Most settings are default. License was imported.

Hi,

You should not need backup / restore the database if you use the same MS SQL database.

What is your logging level? Please check Settings / Service Parameters / Service / Logging. Please set it to Developer and check if you see additional diagnostic data for sAMAccountName in the log file.
