Information on Accessibility Features
- The full list of accessibility features embedded for all students and accessibility features that need to be identified in advance can be found on pages 20-25 of the Accessibility Features and Accommodations Manual.
- Answer masking, color contrast (background/font color) and text-to-speech for mathematics, are available for all participating students who need these tools, but need to be identified in advance via the Personal Needs Profile (PNP).

The interaction has been updated to a more common design that aligns to the standard interaction used by screen reader users. Now, when students navigate into a multiple choice field, the radio button given focus by the Screen Reader will automatically be selected. Students can use the space bar to remove the selection.
A screen reader is a software application, separate from text-to-speech embedded in TestNav, which conveys web content through audio. Screen readers are appropriate for students who are trained to use the software and who use it in the classroom, including those who are blind or have a visual impairment.
To print Large Print Paper Practice Tests to the optimal enlargement of 150% to 18 point font, they must be printed on 14" x 18" paper. Do not use print scaling or fit-to-page in your printer settings.
Large Print Paper Practice Tests can also be printed on 11" x 17" paper with a print size of less than 150% of the standard print. For this, print scaling or fit-to-page must be set in your printer settings.
Tactile graphics are images that use raised surfaces so that a person who is blind or visually impaired can feel them. They are used to convey non-textual information such as maps, paintings, graphs, and diagrams.
Tactile graphics are required for students using Screen Reader or downloadable .BRF versions for the Grade 8 ELA and all Mathematics tests because the non-textual information cannot be displayed electronically or printed/embossed via a downloadable .BRF file.

There are many resources that you can use as you begin the test preparation process. You will find information about most tests completely free and online at official websites, containing test dates, the types of questions, how long the test will take, and most other questions concerning the details of the test. The internet also provides access to test study guides and free practice tests that will help you prepare as well.
The practice assessments below do not attempt to provide you with an exact experience of the assessments you may be asked to complete. Instead, they provide a similar testing experience, in terms of question types and formats, of the tests you will be asked to complete. Below are examples of the types of tests and/or questionnaires you may be asked to complete.

Try out SHL's Virtual Assessment Center Exercise platform and complete a short assessment center exercise. The purpose of this is to help you to get familiar with the platform and experience what it is like to complete an exercise, the exercise is not scored, there are no feedback reports and there is no live interaction involved.
The car you're using for your test should be familiar to you, and not one that you're sitting in for the first time. You'll want to know where the controls are for everything from the lights to the windshield wipers, so you aren't frantically searching if it starts raining. The way each car's brake and gas pedals react can be different, so knowing how sensitive these are can help you avoid braking or accelerating too aggressively or too slowly. In addition to familiarizing yourself with the car's controls, checking the vehicle's history through its VIN can provide crucial information about its past.
Like anything else, learning how to be a good driver takes lots of time behind the wheel practicing. There are things you'll learn while driving that you just can't get from reading, so it's important to log plenty of time at the wheel.
Whether it's weather conditions, an ambulance coming down the road or any other situation that could happen, you should be mentally prepared to adapt and adjust accordingly. The only true way to do this is get in those hours of practice driving, and trying to do so in a variety of weather conditions. Only getting out to drive on beautiful, sunny days will only work against you if your test lands on a rainy, overcast day.
This site definitely works. I practiced their questions for 24 hours. Went through each practice test then jumped into a bus to Santa Monica, California DMV. I passed the drivers test the first time; while the majority walked out with their faces down.

If you test with accommodations, you can select your accommodation when setting up the practice test and see how it will work on test day. If you configure your assistive technology settings during a practice test, you may need to repeat this step on test day.
