TEI-CMC welcomed by DARIAH: Rome, September

DARIAH has accepted that we organize a community event during their VCC (lVirtual Competency Centres ) days in Roma :

On September 17th , we will give before the DARIAH general assembly a short presentation of our "community".
Our community meeting entitled
 "Models  and  tools  for  structuring  &  annotating  corpora  of  social   media  /   computer-mediated  communication"
will be held on September 18 from 15h to 18h

This event is important in order to get acknowledment and support from the EU in the near future.

Our short term objective is:

1) the current state of the schema draft (= on basis of the documentation that is writen in the TEI wiki)
2) The question of annotations on the microlevel and of the interface between part-of-speech tagging and microlevel annotations in TEI-CMC

After the presentations on these two subects we will have a round table 

about further work on standards and joint scientific activities (2015-16).
