I am having trouble attempting to paste Japanese characters from Tegaki into mac apps like TextEdit. For example, a character like ち (chi) appears as \u3061.
Is there some encoding option, i should be changing before attempting to paste into TextEdit or is this possibly some issue with my version of XWindows?
