This book was about a boy from an Indian reservation who is kind of a
geek. His name is Junior. He gets beat up a lot and has only 1
friend named Rowdy. Rowdy is a very mean person that beats up anyone
for doing something or saying something he doesn't like. Junior is
really smart and the school he is going to on the rez (reservation) is
holding him back from his full potential. One day in class the cooky
old teacher Mr. P hands them out geometry books and to Juniors
suprise, there is a name in the book that someone had before him. The
name in that book is his moms. It is over 30 years old. Junior gtes
really mad after that and throws the book at Mr. P's face. He gets
suspended from school and a day or two later Mr. P comes by his house
to talk to him. Mr. P tells him to basically go to another school off
the rez. He says there is hope in that school. Hope that he will
become something better than what he can become on the rez. He tells
Rowdy he is going to Reardan (the school) and Rowdy gets mad. He
punches him in the face and tells him off for leaving. So he goes to
his new school for the first time and has a miserable time. A couple
of boys from the school aproach him and say racist things about
Indians to him. Junior gets mad and punches the leader of the group
in the face. After that they give him respect. So he is now kinda
popular at this school. He gets with a bulimic hottie at the school.
Life is good. His sister dies. He is sad now. But when he goes back
to the rez he meets Rowdy and they are not enemies anymore.
End of synopsis.
