This excellent novel depicts a society in which books have become
illegal duet o the power that they contain. Written in the 1950's, it
is to depict an era probalby very close to where we are today. Several
inventions and exaggerations that were though of as insane in the
1950's are almost reasonable in the society in which we live today.
Some examples are having parlours that have huge screens of
televisions (wide-screen TV), seashells placed in the ear that provide
entertainment all day (iPod, mp3 playters), and much more. I highly
recommend this novel.

I've read this book. It is weird but cool at the same time. Do not
watch the movie!
