Wow -- Peter Schurman's running for Gov of CA

Check this out: my friend Peter is running for Governor of California!

He's done a lot for the world -- he was the first Executive Director
at MoveOn.org.

Now he's challenging Jerry Brown for the Dem nomination for Governor,
to make sure there's a real campaign against Meg Whitman, who's
spending millions on the Republican side.

It's a bold move, and I think Peter is just what this race needs.
He's a great guy.

Impressive. 

Paul Krugman wrote about the problem addressed by Peter's web site: government paralysis because a minority can create a logjam. I seem to remember something by Krugman or maybe Thomas Friedman specifically on the California budget not being passed.    

A friend of mine, Rob Reich, is in the Political Science department at Stanford.  He wrote about the gerrymandering problems. I imagine Peter could get support at Stanford, even though his opponent comes from Silicon Valley.  I'd be happy to make an email introduction between Rob and Peter.
