live webcasts of TEDxChange will happen
starting September 20 at 11am EDT!]
Dear
TEDizens,
Our TEDx program turned 1 in April. It has
been an incredible year, with over 600 TEDx
events hosted worldwide in almost 100
countries, generating TEDxTalks in 25 different
languages.
Now, we'd like to tell you about a very
special TEDx event that's being organized by
the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
On September 20, 2010, more than 150 of the
world’s leading thinkers and doers will come
together in New York for TEDxChange. Convened
by Melinda French Gates on the 10th
anniversary of the Millennium Development Goals,
TEDxChange will explore what the future
holds for health and development around the
world. What changes have taken place in the
last decade? And what more needs to be done
to ensure the health and well-being of
future generations?
Hosted by TED’s Chris Anderson, TEDxChange
will be shared with a global audience. TEDx
communities around the world will host
events around the live webcast on TED.com,
starting at 11am EDT, September 20.
So far, 30 TEDx groups in 25 countries have
committed to hosting events around the live
webcast. If you are interested in hosting
a viewing party around the TEDxChange
stream or would like to attend a
viewing party, please visit our TEDxChange page to
learn more.
To show your support, please RSVP on Facebook to watch the
TEDxChange webcast.
As always, we look forward to hearing your
thoughts. Please share your ideas by
emailing te...@ted.com.
We hope you will tune in to TEDxChange!
