Hey all,

Just a quick word about an important TEDx event coming up in two weeks here in DC.

Exploring issues around the oil spill, its impact, mitigation and our collective energy future, TEDxOilSpill is happening on Mon 6/28 at the Reagan Building.

They've announced several speakers already, including Sylvia Earle and Philippe Cousteau (thanks to our own Meghan Keener).

They're collecting donations for tickets - there's no set fee.

It's being organized by Nate Mook and others from TEDxMidAtlantic, and they already have 22 meetups around the world scheduled to watch the stream.

Good luck to Nate and team; please join them in-person or via their livestream!

Patrick:

Peter Wilson is at Rand. He has interesting things to say about the long term political and energy strategy that will come out of this, and would probably be available.  I have heard him speak a few times before. He is good.
