Guys,

We need to get the number of followers on Facebook & twitter up.
We seem to be stagnating after the initial rush which got us to the 60's

Can we do a focused effort to get us to 3 digits on both by this weekend?

Get out your contact's list & start spreading the word around.

Rgds

I think, because of the promotion of free pass will get more followers on Twitter.

Thanks,

Yeah.. We need to be more active in promoting of the event.

And Can we have the number of days remaining counter in the homepage itself???
I am not sure that will be more professional but can easily gather attention for registration.

Thanks & Regards
Raghunath.

Have sent out mailers to multiple Entrepreneurs/Startup/Tech communities across India (Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai etc).

Expect a surge in visits, and some registrations! :-)

Thanks, Sameer

Also, is there a way to track the source of registrations, i.e. capture how they go to know about the event - Web/ Google/ Newsgroups/ Word of mouth/ Friends/ News etc.

Can we add an additional field on the meraevents registration page? Will be definitely useful in future.

Thanks, Sameer

Hello Prasanti / Srikant

Can we have a facebook fan page on the website ?? It will be easy for people out of our network to become a fan directly from the website and we'll easily have followers in 3 digits on facebook then.

Anshul

Guys,

How about a #hyderabad tweetup this weekend with TED as the focus? We could build up some momentum using this.

I think GVKOne is the best. Our past experiance shows that, we were able to fetch good numbers at GVKOne. Confirm, when are you guys planing to have one.

Thanks,

Hello

Suggestion -  It would be good if the ribbon on the website should read - "Register Now!" and linked to Meraevents.

Thanks
Karthikeyan

Guys,

Quick suggestion:

I think the animated floating bottom bar (containing follow links and license disclaimer) on the website is a bit distracting (mainly due to the animation effect) and with frequent scrolling results in a bad user experience.  Also, when you scroll fast to the top of the page it takes about 2 seconds or so for the bar to fly all the way up to be visible. Not to mention it interferes with the user reading the page (when it's flying down to settle at the bottom).

Keeping the bar floating is fine but I think if you can remove the "animation" effect (i.e. just keep it fixed at the bottom the visible part of the webpage and float with scrolling)  it will result in a better experience with less distraction.

Thanks.

Hi Balamurugan,

What I meant is that, you can keep the bar floating without the "animation" effect i.e. the bar will be still be visible as a user scrolls but it will not have the animation effect like previous implementation. Currently, the top bar is getting clipped due to the "register" ribbon link due to which YouTube, Flickr and RSS icons are not visible (and clickable).

Thanks for fixing!

To see an example, go to http://java.sun.com and look the "Feedback" floating bar at the bottom right corner of the visible web page. It's floating as user scrolls the page but with no animation. I hope that clarifies.

Thanks.
