Hi Team

any feelers sent to the speakers for attending this meet?
particularly we need to invite dr.santhosh,  IAS
i ve sent a feeler to him Yday.

firstly - we get pointers  that he as a speaker feel, may be we may missed it

secondly - he can surely help us out in inviting Dr.Kalam in our next TedXchennai event

thirdly - himself being a bureaucrat, we can get a couple of bureaucrats as speakers to make our next event a wonderful one, apart from participants.

fourthly - we can get help in partnerships from the ELCOT department for any infrastructure we may need

fifthly we keep the connection alive and have a chance to build the
relationship; some speakers at TED are repeat speakers like hans
Rosling.Such repeat talks are good for both of us.#winwinsituation

I guess Madhavan is like the Indian version of Hans Rosling.Both use
data to empower people albeit in their own style and way.

Good work Srini.We got to do this with all the speakers at tedxchennai.

Nice to see the steam pepping up for #TEDxChennai 2010.

I can not wait to chip in suggestion of speakers for this event

Here goes the suggested speakers

Dr.Abdul Kalam - An inspiring personality
S.P.Balasubramaniam - An inspiring singer
AR Rahman - The globe trotting musician from our Tamil Nadu
Jagadish Adappa, Founder of Usha Fire Safety - An inspiring life saver, I attended his training programme. I was totally moved at the way he inspired the participants with the simple but powerful life saving techniques to be used in case of emergency. He had lost his family members at very early age due to an accident. The ignorance in the people around to save life of the victims has pushed him to start this business. His vision was to kill the ignorance in people on saving others life is to be adorned.
Gagan Deep Singh Bedi IAS - He is now the Commissioner of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, and now stationed in Chennai. He was the District Collector of Cuddalore while the Tsunami wave attacked. He did an exemplary work in rehabilitating the people and rebuilding the systems in the fastest way which made the United Nations to take note. Dignitaries from USA such as Bill Clinton made a visit due to the inspiration generated by this good District Collector.
