Hi,

As planned I did check the availability of the venues we had planned and here is the details.

1.The Museum Theater - Booked for all weekends till the end of December.
2.IIT Madras (ICSR Auditorium) - Under renovation so no bookings till January 2012
3.Anna Centennial Library - It can accommodate only 150 people.
                                        Rs.50,000 and the food court can be used for lunch ( if req )
                                        Not a gallery kind.

I must be checking with Anna University as well tomorrow.Will keep you guys posted.

I think the 150 seater at the Centenary Library is more of a conference room than an auditorium. 

Below are some links which list a few auditoriums in Chennai. Let me know if you need any help re. identifying the venue.

how about the audi at the TIDEL park?
its quite large...
