Hello Everyone.
I have just done listening to the Tony & Saen (USTaxLiens) material of Tax Liens bible.
Most of the stuff are common just like what I learnt from TedThomas stuff.
However, some of them are interesting:
1. There are online tax sale service:
I have not try the first two, but have checked
bid4assets.com, sometime I can find auction from Texas but so far only land. I have not actually bid. But it is similar to bidding on ebay.
2. Tony & Saen also talks about QRP (qualified retirement plan) that sounds similar as TFSA. They mentioned foreigner can open QRP as well. I have not done more research on this, but this could be one way to save tax.
3. This website
naco.org is the National Associaton of Counties. We can get lots of information about each counties. I have yet to do some reading there, just glance through.
This is great source of county research, because it's official website (un-bias).
4. Last Sunday I was invited to presentation of Texas land investment. I will not go into detail but what I think interest you is that Texas is one of the state that is growing. This means there will always be demand for property. This could mean when we acquire tax liens, it will be snapped before end of 6 month redemption period, giving 25% interest, and if the money is reinvested it will give another 25%.
This means, at the worst we could earn 50% ROI
5. From the same presentation above, I asked if they buy land from tax sale and the answered is no. However they say there are about 20 professional tax deed company in Texas, specializing in tax sale business.
Out of curiosity I do google search and found this "
Looking for Texas tax deed broker" and found three people seems like be able to to tax sale on behalf of investor. I have just enquiry them and I will share with you the outcome.
Hope this helps.
