I love that this community is continuing to meet. Makes my little heart sing. Thank you Leighann for keeping it going!

Anyway I wanted to let you all know that I continued the group here in Perú as well. To make it even more special, Alejandro (my fiancé) and I are hosting a TedTalks & Tea Lima night on the same night, December 6th, as the SF group. We may be on different continents, but we are still a community that continues to share, grow and learn from one another.

One of the videos we plan to watch is called Simple actions to build a more confident community by an incredibly talented, amazing woman, Miss Jenny Feinberg. She lives in SF too & is the founder of Makespace Coworking. Another wonderful community. I definitely recommend watching Jenny's Tedx.

When we are wrapping up our event on EST and you are beginning yours in PST, we should try to FaceTime each other! What do you think?

I've been thinking, in light of current events, that there is more than enough space in life for intellectual, productive discussion and it's about time we get more active! 

I'd like to revive our TED Talks and Tea nights next month. I'll send an invite for Tuesday December 6 at 7pm PT. 

I invite you all to think of your favorite political TED talks for this round and we can go from there. Remember to check out our archive, but don't be afraid of re-playing talks: many of us haven't been here from the beginning! 

I will bring loose-leaf Puerh and Oolong teas. Please bring any of your favorite teas or snacks as well!

Totally!!! Maybe a call on hangouts would be easiest? As long as we are both on wifi. I can give you a ring and project up to the big screen via Chromecast!
