Hi everyone,

Welcome Liana to the team. She will be the new weekend opener. Can't wait for you all to get to know her, she's awesome!

As you all know, there is a new menu coming very soon. This also means there will be a menu test coming very soon. Luckily, all the menu items we have been testing as specials so you already have a head start in knowing what they are. Within the next week Naz and I will have a rough draft for you all to study. Hoping the menu can go live Monday October 26th.

Now that fall is here our sales have been winding down. We REALLY have to be on top of cutting the openers early, like 2/3pm. Let's make sure we are prepping ourselves up as much as possible in between breakfast and lunch rush so we don't leave the closer's with all the tasks. We have all been slacking when it comes to prep. Why are all the sugar packet backups empty? Why are there only eight silverwares rolled for the opener? Why are there no sliced lemons? Because we're being lazy. Instead let's use this downtime to really prep ourselves up and make this place look amazing and cozy and wonderful. Let's light candles and dim the lights and create a warm and inviting environment for the customers and ourselves.

Cold brew, it immediately goes in the walk-in from now on. No more sitting on the shelves in the kitchen or upstairs. Also, after THREE days we have to strain it even if we don't need it. This will not only keep the flavor consistent it will help extend it's shelf life.

The kitchen's mop handle broke last week and right now we are both using the same mop. The floor has never looked worse. And since we have had way too many discussions about the floor I've decided to get us a small mop with a small mop bucket so we can fill it up every night and bring it upstairs and properly mop. This means taking out the metal shelves that the tea sits on. This has to be done EVERYNIGHT. We are starting to have a bug problem back there and the only way to solve it is to take an extra five minutes and thoroughly mop. That's easy enough. We can do that.

Starting Sunday November 1st (which is also daylight savings time, yay!) we will be closing at 4pm.

You guys rock and even though you all bailed on skee ball last night I still love you all. Thanks for being so damn awesome.  Inline image 1

Thanks,

Danielle
