Hey everyone,

As you already know, Billy and I will be away until Thursday. Michelle will be in and Nazario will be here if you need anything or have any questions. We are leaving Ian in charge of FOH in our absence. He is very knowledgeable of where and how to order anything we are out of. Although I did stock up on everything, if I missed something he is your guy.

Everyone needs to be more on top of making sure the bathroom is clean and fully stocked. Whenever you're passing by just take a quick look in and see if it needs any maintenance. Notify the dishwasher if it needs a good mid-day cleaning.

When I come back I will be working on a better system of checking people out at the end of our shifts. Although this staff is great we have been slacking on some things and think if we all had a reminder of what to look for each day it would help us all out.

Due to the chipotle bloody mary selling so well it is officially our bloody mary from here on out. Still trying to think of a great garnish, until then it will be a rotating garnish of the week. This week it is candied bacon.

There is a Mango chili margarita to be sold this weekend and into this weekThe tequila is already mixed in! This will make it easier on the barista and provide a more consistent product.

New beers:

Peaks Island Organic IPA

This wonderful beer hails from Peaks Island which is actually part of Portland, ME.

The flavor notes are citrus, floral and light. The HOPs on this IPA are not very bitter HOPs traditionally found in beers, they are more subtle and smooth.

Pairs well with spicy food, pesto, smoked meats, hipsters, etc

Alphabet City Easy Blonde (Kolsch Style beer)

This beer is actually brewed in Alphabet City, Manhattan.

This is a direct quote from the website "This crisp, light-bodied golden ale has hints of citrus and white pepper and is lagered to give it a smooth, crisp finish. This Brew’s promiscuous drinking appeal makes it the easy choice for a smooth, light beer."

Raw wheat is used in the fermentation process giving it a nicely unique flavor.

Pairs well with anything light like fish, oysters, salads, etc

Well, that sums up our weekly check-in.

I will miss you all and if you're good this week I might bring back some Jamaican presents. Inline image 1

See ya next week!

Danielle
